Food Festival: An Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences Event
Dates: 10-12 November, at District Six Museum
The Food Politics and Cultures Project invites all academics, artists, intellectual activists and poets interested in food politics and cultures to contact email@example.com for queries and considerations about participation in our Food Festival.
The festival will include:

♦ Visual Art Exhibition
♦ Talks and Demos
♦ A New Play by Mike van Graan
Broader themes for the panel discussions are:
∙ Food politics, cultures, histories and geographies;
∙ Foodways, coloniality, racism and migration;
∙ Food and eating: representing social identities and lifestyle;
∙ Embodiment, the visceral and pleasure;
∙ Food struggles, food sovereignty and agrarian transformation;
∙ Nature/Society and the ecological crisis.
The festival catering aims to reflect the values of the Food Politics and Cultures Project of wholesome, tasty, conscious and socially and ecologically just food.
